We are all a little bit nervous before our first White Tantric Yoga course... It's totally natural and you are not alone!
If you've got questions,
if you would like to get some tips from a seasoned veteran of WTY on everything from finding a partner to keeping up,
if you need some white clothes,
if you want to practice putting a turban on your head (it's critical that your head from hairline to hairline is covered during the course)....
come to Sat Nam Studios (1731 NE 58th ave, Portland, Oregon 97213) on Saturday, March 31!

Here's the game plan:
~11:30 - bring your own lunch and spend some time connecting with other yogis while you eat :) social time! build community!

~12:30 TURBAN TYING workshop - $7-11

~1:30 POP-UP SHOP OPENS....take a break (or keep practicing turbans/buying fabric)

~2pm - PREPARE FOR WTY WORKSHOP: BREAK THE MASK. $11-22

~4:30 break (have a snack!) / Q&A about WTY

5 - 7pm class at Sat Nam Studios , ending with the Full Moon Healing Circle

Why meditate? How do breath, posture and mantra come together to provide a deep experience? In this all-levels workshop we'll be exploring these questions and learning a bit about how the mind works. Gain techniques to tame the “monkey mind” for deeper meditation. Get the low-down on all those funky eye gazes used in Kundalini Yoga. There will be time to answer questions about White Tantric Yoga.
We'll practice different meditations and discuss the importance of daily practice (sadhana). Because, let's face it: we ARE our habits. Want to change? Change your habits. Having a daily practice of yoga and meditation will serve you immensely!! Workshop Bonus Feature: We will practice Breath Walk - Yogi Bhajan called Breathwalk "The ultimate fitness program for everyone in the Aquarian Age."

A gentle all-levels class with 30 minute gong savasana

Join us for a healing Gong Meditation this Mother's Day, a beautiful opportunity for mothers and their families to share in a unique, healing experience, or for individuals doing healing work around the divine feminine in their life. Our experience will include guided stretching, breath work, a generous immersion of gong and a beautiful, integrative Kundalini Yoga meditation. This experience is appropriate for adults and youth age 9 and older, of all yoga levels, including pregnant women and those who have never done yoga before.

It is my desire to help all students of Kundalini Yoga feel empowered in their life journey. Understanding why, when and how we apply the 3 main bandhas (body locks) is KEY to moving energy and getting un-stuck! We will also explore the significance of mudras (hand postures) and impacts of eye focus.

Please join me this weekend (even if you missed the prana workshop last month)! If you are new to Kundalini Yoga, this will give you a very solid foundation and support you during classes and at home. If you are a teacher of Kundalini Yoga, this will help you teach your students. If you are a seasoned practitioner, you will go deeper!

After the workshop, we'll be doing a 40 day sadhana (home practice). We'll practice it at the studio on Saturday & you will have my support and the support of the group too :)

A series of 6 workshops to take you from mystery to mastery via the technology of Kundalini Yoga. We highly recommend taking them all as they will build on each other, however each workshop does stand on it own. Each workshop comes with a daily challenge that, should you choose to accept it, you will practice for 40 days after the workshop. Ravi Kaur is coming to Portland

Ravi Kaur is the manager of the International Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (IKYTA) and was recently at a Yoga Journal conference. She wrote, "They had a booth where you could pose and they would create this cover shot. It didn't take much convincing to do it - the performer in me comes out pretty quickly. I posted it on Facebook and most people thought it was real. That's how much we all want it!"

She will be in town to meet with as many of teachers as she can so she can get know us and learn how IKYTA can support us. There are 2 chances to connect with Ravi on Thursday, May 29 - do one or both! Take a class at Mandala from 10:00am to 11:20am - FREE for those coming to connect with Ravi . After class share a meal or tea next door at Songbird Cafe.
