Chant for PEACE
The organizers of the 24 Hour Chant for Peace are wondering if we will be joining them again this year. For several years we have been attending this wonderful event and leading 1 hour of Long Ek Ong Kars (usually at the 2am - 3am slot). Leading another chant is also an option - but the monks there love this one :). You can also lead a second slot with another chant too!
We are looking for some one (and ideally there are 2 or 3 people to help hold the space) to carry on the tradition.
Please email Guru Surya if you are interested in this and can COMMIT or would like to know more. She wishes she could make it, but will be out of town.
Each hour of the Chant for Peace is led by a different spiritual tradition. There are times of seated chanting and times of circumambulating the monastery. Anyone and everyone are invited to attend for any length of time. There are beds available for napping and a buffet table available for refreshment throughout the event.
