Have you ever wondered who else is teaching Kundalini Yoga in Portland? We are calling this event "Kundalini Convergence" because we want to unify the teaching community to Portland. Read on to learn what we are interested in finding out, then share your ideas!

WHO'S INVITED?? everyone! But specifically...

• People in the community who are currently involved in or interested in getting to know the Kundalini Yoga Portland community.
• KRI Certified teachers who currently teach Kundalini Yoga in Portland and surrounding areas
• Teachers who are not KRI certified and are teaching in Portland and surrounding areas
• Those who have taken Level 1 teacher training and don't currently teach
• Those who are interested in taking the Level 1 Kundalini Yoga teacher training Fall 2013.

DISCUSSION TOPICS:

• Bringing unity of teachers in Kundalini Yoga Portland community
• Getting to know other teachers/soon to be teachers/members of the community. What other types of yoga/movement do you teach? What other skills/creativity/hobbies are you involved in?
• Making a 'substitute teacher' list for those teachers that need coverage
• Recognizing where there are gaps (geographically and temporally) in Kundalini Yoga offerings.
• Answer questions about upcoming Level 1 teacher training this fall

.....this is just a taste of what will be shared amongst the group!

PLUS!!

• There will be yoga and meditation!
• There will be food and beverages (like yogi tea!)
• Vegetarian food contributions are welcome but not required.

Sunday group sadhana moves to Shakti House beginning on March 3. We are excited about this move! If you have been coming to sadhana at Awakenings, Shakti House is only a few blocks away at 1401 SE Morrison St. We still start during the amrit vela at 4:30am.

Never been to sadhana? Come check it out! It's the best way to start your day...

A person once said about sadhana: "Once sadhana is done, nothing should happen to you."

I said, "No, when sadhana happens, everything should happen to you, and you should come out as a winner, you should come out victorious!"

That is what sadhana gives you. It doesn't give you a written guarantee from God. The one who does sadhana builds himself such a powerful personality, he can conquer anything!

That is why I do my own sadhana. I have been doing it for years. I do it even now. Some people ask me, "You are a Master, why do you do sadhana?" I say, "To remain a Master!"

Daljit Singh and Gurpreet Kaur will be opening up their home in Beaverton for a Gurdwara on Saturday, February 9 at 4pm. All are welcome! Wahe Guru!



What is Gurdwara? Literally it means 'gate to the Guru'. At our Gurdwara you can expect kirtan (devotional music psst! Daljit rocks the tablas & Gurpreet rocks the harmonium), a meditation, prayer (ardas), a reading from the Siri Guru Granth Sahib (hukam), prashad, followed by food (langar) and yogi tea! Come join in the community and sweetness of this gathering!

Bring a vegetarian dish to share (no eggs please!) and cover your head when entering the Gurdwara (there will be head coverings if you forget one).

In an effort to reduce waste, please bring a "mess kit" (plate.bowl.mug.silverware.cloth napkin) for yourself to use and a bag to carry dirty dishes home. If you can bring an additional set for someone who may have forgotten theirs that would be FANTASTIC! Wahe Guru!
