...to offer sadhana - now 4 days a week!

Just over a year ago we decided to move from offering daily sadhana to Sundays-only sadhana. It's been an interesting journey...we left Awakenings and moved to Shakti House. We've gotten into a groove and it is with much excitement we announce that we will now have sadhana on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday! Yes, starting this week!

Still think sadhana's is not for you? Guess again...
"Sadhana is ... where one prepares for the day to become kind and compassionate for everyone, including the enemies. We get up early in the morning, we rise, and we do our sadhana so that we can match up with the day, so we can match up with absolute reality. Face the reality with reality. Don't face the reality with laziness and slowness. If you do so, you will never be successful and then you are your own enemy." -Yogi Bhajan
More from Yogi Bhajan on sadhana.

We are still hoping to offer sadhana on Mondays, Tuesdays and Saturdays, please email us if you feel called to lead.

Much gratitude to all of our sadhana leaders for continuing to to hold the space for this community! Leading sadhana is a honor and a humbling seva. Anna and Nam Kiret Singh (both of whom are taking Teacher Training right now) have stepped up to the plate. Wahe Guru!!

There is now a doorbell to ring in case you arrive and the door has been locked - thank you Sat Mandir Singh!

See you bright and early at Shakti House! Sadhana is from 4:00am to 6:30am.

...to serve this community

All are welcome to attend the next board meeting on Sunday January 19. It's after sadhana at Shakti House. Come share your ideas for this community and meet us!

...to host White Tantric Yoga®

We'll be gathering in the evening on Sunday January 26. Meditation, yummy food, connecting with each other and getting PUMPED for White Tantric Yoga.

6pm at 3042 SE Morrison St.
Portland, OR

Please join us for a gathering to discuss the many seva (service) opportunities involved in hosting this special event and find out how you can help make this a successful course!

All are welcome to gather and meditate for the prosperity of the course on April 19, and to set our personal intentions for this year's White Tantric Yoga course.

You will have the opportunity to hear about different ways you can get involved in creating a successful course, such as: care for the facilitator, set-up & break-down, registration, and participating in a 40 day meditation to set us as a community for the course.

This is a great chance for teachers to discuss how to talk about WTY with your students.

If you have never done White Tantric Yoga before, this will be a great opportunity to learn more about the many benefits of this powerful day of meditation!

Following the meditation and discussion we will have a potluck supper. Please bring a vegetarian dish to share, if possible. Yogi tea and mung beans & rice will be provided by hosts Guru Surya Kaur and "Guru Jase Jase".

I look forward to meeting you and hope you can make it!
