Awake with a passion for inner and global transformation, this 12-hour chanting vigil is a celebration of our spiritual aspirations to see the Sacred in every person, and to live Unconditional Love. This is an InterFaith event. Each hour of the Chant for Peace is led by a different spiritual tradition. We form one community and join our voices together. Chanting is spiritually potent medicine. It aligns heart and mind, connects us to Spirit and radiates waves of prayer and blessings into the world!

Join us on the Full Moon! This sacred meditation generates tremendous healing power, for yourself and anyone, anywhere you wish to send healing intentions.

We’ll begin with a few warm ups to prepare for sitting - perhaps archer pose to connect to Sagittarius, then join hands to seal our energy and magnify it together. Simple, rhythmic chanting allows transcendence of limitations and strengthens our individual & collective light.

Simrat Kaur of Yoga West Eugene will be leading 31 minutes of Re Man meditation at 7:00am [yes, that's AM] for eleven days: Mon, Feb 8 - Thu, Feb 18. Come to one or all. Each day will begin with 3 slow recitations in call and response style and the remaining time will be devoted to a more rapid recitation.

This Shabad is recited to heal others and to brighten one’s own aura (the first line of defense against illness and attack).

KYPDX Stands in Solidarity

Like you, we here at KYPDX have been shocked and saddened by the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmad Arbery, and so many others tragically killed by police officers. These crimes are just the tip of the iceberg of institutional racism that pervades our world. We unequivocally state that Black Lives Matter. As yogis, we believe that we should live what we practice: the Unity of all souls, the equality of all souls. Yet, the current state of the world does not match this philosophy, and we must actively take steps to end systemic racial oppression.

How can our organization, KYPDX, a 5O1.c3 non-profit, become more socially just? How can we support this critical movement that is happening in Portland? In the United States? In the world? We want to hear more voices, diverse voices, and work in action together. This could include: creating space for more diversity on our Board of Directors, marching together, making phone calls, or fundraising for the many incredible black led organizations on the front lines of this movement. Our collective effort will no doubt include our prayers. Prayers are powerful catalysts for change - now is the time to rise up into action fueled by prayer.

Sat Nam,

There have been recent allegations of past inappropriate sexual relationships concerning Yogi Bhajan. This has been a big blow to the Kundalini Yoga Community both internationally and locally. There has been strong and decisive action taken on by KRI, 3HO and Sikh Dharma International to get to the bottom of these allegations and to release the information that they uncover. This can be found at: https://www.ssscresponseteam.org.

We also want to respond locally. We’ve scheduled a meeting to lend support to community members and to give forum for you to voice feelings and concerns.

Setting the intention to break bread as a community with a monthly pulse. So we can SEE each other, KNOW each other and CREATE together.

The plan is an 11 Minute Healing Meditation followed by food and connection. If you are able to, please bring nourishing vegan food to share.

These are drug and alcohol free events held on the 4th weekend of the month. We could use some hosts! Host can decide which day {Sat or Sun} and time to have the potluck. Email us at [email protected] to sign up.
