It's that cozy time of year again. Prior to COVID we would gather at each others' home to chant each evening for 11 nights leading up to Guru Ram Das' birthday. This year we are encouraging everyone to practice on their own at home {see below for a few ideas and playlist} and come out for a potluck and sadhana. Next year we hope to bring back the nightly in-person gatherings.

This season has been described as a powerful time for the fulfillment of prayers and a time of great blessing. One idea is to write your prayers down and add them to special box or container as the 11 days progress. Then, after the birthday sadhana, have a ceremony and burn the prayers, sending them out to the Infinite. Allow the divine healing energy of Guru Ram Das to take care of you and all your troubles!

September wraps up with an Aries Full Moon that is powerful and punchy. This Full Moon is connected to the Aries New Moon and the Aries Solar Eclipse that we had earlier this year. If you think back to the manifestations and intentions you set in March and April, you may begin to see those manifestations in full bloom now. This is the last lunar cycle before Eclipses begin, so we may begin feeling the rumbling of transformation starting to flow in. This is a little bit of a volatile Full Moon in that it carries some fiery energy. We may feel a little headstrong, or our egos may be easily triggered under this Full Moon. It will be important to take a few steps back and assess the situation from a distance before rushing ahead. Chiron, the asteroid known as the wounded healer, is also very active under this Full Moon, shining a light on any healing that is needed in our lives. It seems we are being called to stop playing the victim, to stop feeling sorry for ourselves, and to rise up into our inner warrior.
